Show Consulting Services
Dressage shows are expensive, and to make the experience enjoyable and affordable, we strongly encourage clients to set up an appointment with Peggy at the beginning of the show season to identify short-term and long-term goals.  With this simple step, clients have a significant opportunity to reduce the stress of competing and improve overall communication, which, in turn, will help to increase the fun of showing and potential for success.  During this process, we will review what classes and divisions are best for each horse and rider, annual membership requirements, etc.  Once a program is agreed upon, clients can then plan for rail/coaching fees, grooming fees, hauling, braiding, and shared expenses for tack rooms, feed, and trainer and groom expenses.

Overview of Show Services
•  Once a venue is picked and the show entry process is begun, clients are offered the best value with a “show package” that includes everything from pre-show preparation through to having horses back in their stalls at home.  Clients can pick and choose the services they desire and do some or all of the work themselves.
•  Triple-rated or 3 star shows (meaning USDF/CDS/USEF) are the best value, but we do occasionally attend CDS one star shows
•  As early as possible in the show year, clients are strongly encouraged to join all the appropriate organizations, and to verify that every horse has a current ID number or lifetime number.  We also suggest that clients organize breed registry papers and verify that their membership is current if they plan to ride for a USDF All-Breed year end award.
•  Horse Show Related Expenses are shared by dividing expenses between the number of horses going to the show, and typically include expenses such as supplies, shavings, feed, tack room, storage/grooming stalls, etc.
•  Trainer and Groom Related Expenses  are shared by dividing those expenses by the number of horses going to the show and typically includes such expenses as trainer’s hotel, food, gas, etc.
