Clinics & Seminars

Clinics

Clinics are offered to individual groups, stables, or clubs and provide lessons to individuals riders. Costs of transportation, lodging, and meals must be pro-rated for each rider and added to each lesson.

Clinic details are as follows:
• Private lessons are 45 minutes
• Semi-private lessons (2 horses/riders) are one hour
• Standard clinic format is eight to ten rides per day
• Any facility located within a two-hour commute may schedule a clinic with a minimum of four rides.
• Proof of liability insurance can be provided upon request.

Specialized clinics are also offered:
• “Dressage for other disciplines” clinics focus on the application of dressage concepts to event riders, pony clubs, 4-H clubs, hunter/jumper riders, western dressage, and breed organizations.
• Dressage Sport Horse Breed Fundamentals clinics focus on the related concepts of conformation and function, and can be in addition to any customized clinic program.

Workshops

Workshops are clinics that can combine sessions with mounted and un-mounted participants. These events are an informative educational tool that allows the cost of the clinic to be divided between the demo riders and the un-mounted participants. This format offers a quality educational experience to a larger audience, and is an excellent and affordable alternative to clubs, groups, and individual stables.

Seminars

Seminars are un-mounted educational sessions that target specific topics. These educational formats can be combined with a traditional clinic or a workshop, and can be scheduled as an all day indoor activity. Attendees are provided written materials appropriate to the topic covered. For exceptionally in-depth programs, a workbook is prepared as a part of the sessions in order to facilitate a more dynamic and interactive educational experience, and are custom-designed for the target audience.

Advice & Assistance for Organizations

As past President of the California Dressage Society (CDS), a current CDS Board Member, and a delegate to the USDF Board of Governors, Peggy can offer advice and guidance to local clubs and USDF GMOs on how to organize, present, budget, and obtain financial assistance for workshops and seminars.
